BOATING Magazine features TAHOE® in the Special Swimsuit Issue
The TAHOE 228 brings a ton of standard features, an inviting transom arrangement and plenty of comfort to a lazy afternoon.
In no time, Kara keyed into what the 228 deck boat is all about. “The cockpit is a great place to sit and have a conversation, like a big booth at a restaurant,” she said. It has plenty of other features to keep Kara and her friends happy too, like the cushioned seating over the engine hatch. A double-sided backrest divides the cushion so that passengers can also sit facing aft to enjoy the swim platform at anchor — within arm’s reach of three of the nine cup holders.
In the bow, padded backrests on the consoles feature flip-up arm bolsters. The telescoping bow ladder is great for beach access, and the stainless-steel grab rail helps with climbing back on board.
The TAHOE 228 packs a lot of standard features into its 22-foot 5-inch overall length, including a built-in cooler and rod rack to port. Kara’s favorite? “The sound system was awesome,” she says. With four strategically placed speakers, everyone can join the party.
